Hello Marco.

For now only 'shared' and 'router' type have special logic.

connected is a regular (default) type.

shared: if you have two or more allocations of the same IP address, they will be displayed on red background unless they have type 'shared'.

router: if an object has an allocation typed 'router', suck object is displayed in the IP network and IP tree pages if the config variable EXT_IPV4_VIEW is set.

'loopback' has no special meaning out-of-the-box, but some people use it in local scripts and add-ons.

Hi,

Someone can plz clarify to me the meaning of the 4 alternative available as type of IPv4 (with examples too plz). there are "Loopback", "Connected", "Shared" and "Router". Of course i know what is a loopback, about other 3 i have an idea but maybe i'm wrong, so someone can explain to me ?
Tnx a lot
