Exciting news - Queer Zine Library is officially on tour!
Minna came to collect the suitcase full of 200 zines today to take to Forum
Box in Helsinki where the Queer Zine Library will be for the next month as
part of the Companions exhibition

This couldn't have happened without everyone's amazing cataloguing work.
All the meetings, cataloguing sessions, workshops, and chats about tagging,
tours, funding etc, all of that made this possible and this is a real
collective achievement so thank you to you all. Our zines deserve to be
discovered and read by as many people as possible.
Thank you as well to everyone who has added suggestions for 2022 tour dates
to the excel doc

things are now starting to happen with all our suggestions!
When the zines come back from Helsinki they will then be on their way to
Carlisle from October - November as part of Pride in Cumbria pop up space,
then in December the zines are headed to Tenerife for the TEA zine fair,
then in January the zines are heading out for a 2 month residency to Dina
venue as part of the Rise Up Programme. So that takes us up to March pretty
quickly!
*Question - would anyone be interested in designing a tour poster for Queer
Zine Library to go out fairly soon?* Here's our previous tour poster for
reference

but it would be nice to do something different this time to advertise where
to find the collection with more tour dates to come.
We can also chat at the next meeting about how the zines travel to tour
venues, if anyone is free or wants to be part of setting up at venues, and
if anyone would like to host a talk or queer zine making workshop when
venues ask us as part of the tour.
