Hello everyone, welcome new members!
I tend not to do things at the weekends as it's partner time, but may come
along if +1s are allowed. I have a very smol very shy very cute partner
who'd probably not talk much, maybe read some zines 😂
Tests wouldn't be an issue - I was also given way more than I needed
considering I work 90% at home! Any park would be fine provided there are
toilets... hopefully free but I'll consider stocking up on 20p's too.
Take care
Ella

Maybe Hyde Park or St James park as they are central and also close to

What time is good for everyone? Maybe around noon? Or a bit later to allow
for travel?
Also welcome to our new members of the Queer Zine Library collective! We
held an online intro to zine cataloguing workshop last night
<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1deZWVcFEEjfy6ec_89u6AP95d_9yzJDG/view?usp=sharing>
for anyone new wanting to join our gang and as a result we have some
wonderful people signing up to our freelist today. Welcome! Please do say
hello, we're very happy to have you.
We are just organising a QZL birthday picnic in London on Saturday 3rd
July to celebrate 2 years since we started, and it will be the first time
most of us are actually meeting each other for the first time. Everyone is
welcome and I hope that some of you who came to the zine cataloguing
workshop last night are also able to attend.
All the best
Holly

That makes total sense about the lateral flow tests, Holly - I'm more
than happy to do them.
Anywhere in Central London works for me and I have a couple of different
options for how I travel in. What kind of time would we be aiming for?
Best wishes,
Ana

Oh no Simone I'm sorry I didn't realise you worked on Saturdays. I'm
really hoping you can meet up with us after you've finished work?
It will be lovely to see some of you at the picnic although I will
totally appreciate not everyone will feel comfortable doing so. It might be
a good courtesy for everyone attending that we all do a lateral test before
and after? I'm still not used to being in groups yet so this would make me
feel much more confident. I also have a BUNCH of lateral tests and can
bring them to the picnic. Along with snacks of course.
I'm very flexible with whichever park we choose. I know Jess is getting
the coach into London for the picnic so somewhere close to Victoria might
be good and is hopefully central for everyone's travel?
Really looking forward to seeing you and reading and making zines with
you all

Hi Holly, hi everyone,
I think this is lovely celebratory idea. Unfortunately I work Saturdays
and my annual leave has already been processed so I can’t change it.
However, depending on the finish time of the get together, I might be able
to catch everyone near the end, as I work by Russel Square Tube station so
in theory could tube it to wherever you are (congestion dependent).
I don’t know if Hyde Park has accessible toilets or the location of the
toilets in general, but I know that Royal Parks usually charge 20p so an
abundance of 20p coins will be needed if one of them is chosen. Something
to keep in mind.
I hope everyone is well xx

zine library and wondered if anyone fancied celebrating with a queer zine
Heya
Just realised that the first weekend in July is our 2nd birthday as a
library picnic in London on Saturday 3rd July?
us in London I thought we could maybe have a London meet up to start off
I know that we are all spread across the UK but with quite a few of
with. Perhaps we could find a park somewhere central, preferably with
toilets and accessible as possible. We could bring food and snacks and I
can bring the qzl suitcase full of zines with me if we wanted to read zines
in the sunshine together?
a group zine for our 2nd birthday as well...
I can also bring paper and scissors and glue if anyone fancied making
comfort levels of being out and about at the moment. And I really hope that
There's no pressure to say yes, I know we all have very different
if it is safe to travel in the future again we can take this out of London
so we aren't so london-centric.
All the best
