Theoretically, you may use linear row ball bearings, because they deal with
some axial loads somewhat well. But the angular contact bearings, when
axially pre-loaded, blocks the parasite radial play. At first I've think
about using roller tapered bearings (as Flevobikes), but they need to be
pre-loaded with a strongest loading. That's why they are pre-loaded with
castle nuts to forbid the loosening. Aditionally, the roller tapered
bearings are so large and havier than the angular contact ball bearings...
