Hi Juergen, Hi Joao,
Jürgen Mages schrieb:I have to admit i didn?t surched every dealer of metal for 30/40 x 10. I was lazy and went to a DIY-Market (Praktiker). ;-)If you want to use 30x30 for the front frame you might run into several problems:
- front frame gets too heavy - front frame gets too wide -> collision with heels and cranks - collision with chainwheel - ...
Are you sure that you cannot get at least 30x20 in your town?
I have a problem with the 25x25 Tubes indeed: The Front-Frame is too wide at the SBB. But I think collisions with heels, cranks or chainwheel won?t appear. I?ll see if i?m right when i fix all peaces together for the first time.40x10 seems best to me but minimum order is 6 m 30x10 could be too weak, especially for youDid i mention my wheigt anytime ? %( OK you have dicovered my photo on my website ...Yes you?re right.30x20 was the material for my P1 and I had to make lots of cuts in the drivetrain region.
Try to keep the front frame as narrow as possible.
I planned 26"-Wheels although i have long legs. So i get some more space between BB / SBB and the tyre.
So my plan, reality shows that i need more space at the BB. So i got problems at the SBB, which is more narrow because its "upright" position in addition. Some more cuttings have to be made there !Thanks, i will need it (especially for welding).
Viel Glück, Jürgen.
PS: I recently updated some chapters on my construction page. Thanks from me, Stephan
