Hi Carl,
my python is since a few months ready but I`m still optimising operations.
That includes also the seat. I decided for the mesh type because of the
ventilation. The anatomic contour is given by two strips of wood which I
laminate of plywood. The ribs arrange the needed suspension. I think it
looks pretty good and is quite cheap. But sadly I´m too small (1,75 m). The
contour of the seat doesn`t fit to the contour of my backbone. You have to
be 1,90 m or so. Therefore I have to take potluck with the old seat so far.

here you can see a few pictures:

Hi Pythonistas
After seeing the photo of Tobias's nice newborn I thought you might
like
one of mine.
After a long time of no progress (a year, opps) I've made a bit of
effort
& got as far as what you see in the photo. The front is pretty much as
Jurgens design, the centre is a piece of tubing from a discarded weight
training bench (always looking at the rubbish bins to see whats
available!)
& the rear is a modified 26" MTB rear triangle with a 20" wheel using the
BB
as the suspension pivot. The front pivot is two 12mm rod ends.
The only thing I'm not sure about yet is the seat, the only options seem
to be homemade mesh type or a homemade hard type (maybe aluminium one
piece
or three separate parts). I can't find a plastic moulded seat to buy at a
reasonable price ( i.e, very cheap to keep in the spirit of the Python!),
anybody know of one? Any suggestions?
Happy building & happier riding, Carl.
