Dear Colleague,
I am writing to encourage you to vote for Lisa Baird in tomorrow’s Bar
election for the Circuit Court judicial vacancy. Judge Baird has been on
the J&DR bench since 2013 and just recently finished her term as Chief
Judge. During her time as Chief Judge, an attorney window opened in the
clerk’s office, a new Clerk of the Court was hired, and new systems
implemented. She has worked diligently to change and streamline the JDR
processes for the benefit of attorneys and pro se litigants alike, and
alleviate backlogs in civil dockets.
More importantly, during her time on the bench Judge Baird has consistently
demonstrated the qualities that make her the best candidate for Circuit
Court; patience, open-mindedness, courtesy, tact, courage, punctuality,
firmness, understanding, compassion, humility and common sense. These
qualities will serve her well if she is appointed to Circuit Court.
Please join me in voting for Lisa Baird tomorrow. If you have already made
up your mind to support another candidate as your first choice, please
consider Judge Baird as your choice for 1st or 2nd alternate. Please feel
free to forward this to your associates and encourage all PWCBA members to
vote.
