DEAR RICHARD, I have two found two formulae for Hypo Clear stock, one below. They have varying amounts of each reagent but what they both have is 5 g of Sodium Citrate, not Citric Acid. Hmmmmmmm. Do you recommend one, the other, or both? CHEERS! However, I find it easier to just use an acidified solution of sodium sulfite comprised to 20 g of sulfite and 5 grams of bisulfite since I don't try to save the solution. In the Florida heat it tends to grow stuff after use. Distilled water (50°C) .............. 750 ml Sodium sulfite (anhy) ............... 100 g Sodium bisulfite .................... 25.0 g EDTA, Na4 ........................... 2.0 g Sodium citrate ...................... 5.0 g Distilled water to make ............. 1.0 l Jerry -----Original Message----- From: pure-silver-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:pure-silver-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of BOB KISS Sent: Tuesday, January 09, 2007 9:48 AM To: pure-silver@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [pure-silver] FORMULA KODAK HYPO CLEAR DEAR LIST, Can anyone send me the formula for something as close as possible to Kodak Hypo Clearing Agent? Kodak has drastically reduced the silver/chemical photographic items it will sell in the Caribbean. It is VERY expensive to ship things here from the U.S. so I am hoping to, perhaps, mix it myself.
