[pure-silver] eyelet hangers on metal frames

Today I am framing a picture for a show. I got one of those nielsen
bainbridge metal frame kits. They go together fine until I get to the
eyelet hangers. Supposedly you just push them into the track, but they
never go in easily for me, and I usually end up bending them. Am I
doing something wrong? Is there an alternative to these frustrating
things?
