The messages are collected for a day (maybe less) and presented to you
maybe once or twice a day as a single post. There's a subject index at the
beginning. Basically, you get only one or two posts a day, containing all
of the posts after the last digest was posted. It makes answering or
discussing subjects in real time, difficult. But it is a better way of
archiving the list traffic.
