Dear Scott,
Your New Year's resolutions are admirable. I am particularly struck by
your determination to have the children go to bed earlier so that you can
practise your art. Excuse me for a moment....

I'm back. I am sure it will all work out.
Actually your determination to try large format is indeed a laudable
thing. I often think that my own vision expanded when I got a 4 x 5 camera.
At least my opportunities to do it wrong did. It is hard to double expose a
35mm auto-everything camera but easy on a the LF. I have learned to
cultivate serendipity and bad language.
