I have never used Arista Lith Developer but have used several others.
Is it specifically a paper developer? If it is intended for film I
believe your dilution is wrong. Try 1+1+10 or more. I use Naccolith
most often and usually go 1+1+30. I also use 1 part Old Brown - save
some of your well used lith developer and add it to jump start your
fresh developer.

You will likely find that both your print and development times go up.
As you have been doing, print for the highlights, develop for the
shadows. With my negs, paper, and setup my printing times are generally
around 60" to 90" with development times run 10 to 20 minutes. The
longer development time gives more time to judge and react to the
infectious development.
