A quick word to tell you version 3 of my software is online: http://www.bonavolta.ch/hobby/en/photo/fotolab.htm You can only download the documentation (pdf) to check if it's worthwhile for you. Software is composed of two parts: dry and wet side. Dry side: - timer with precision down to 1/10s, it drives directly the enlarger through the interface. As previously, final countdown may use sound functions (beeps or vocal). System can also drive the separate fan of some enlargers by indicating how long the fan should remain ON after the bulb switches off. - metronome, it drives also the enlarger. Ventilator and sound functions are also activated. - test strip in stops progression, the geometric progression gives, in terms of densities, constant spacing from band to band. This function drives directly the enlarger and exposes the bands. - exposure adjustment calculation if you change one or more parameters like paper sensitivity, enlargment ratio, diaphragm, exposure factor given by a filter or if you just want to adjust the exposure by a fraction of a stop. - exposure factor for multigrade filters. - exposure factor for color filters. - negative contrast calculation and matching paper grade selection. You can use either the indicated sensor or whatever darkroom tool indicating an exposure time. - transmission densitometer. You can use either the indicated sensor or whatever darkroom tool indicating an exposure time. - images database (not the proper word from a computing point of view) with their shooting, storage and printing parameters, included their masking sequence and layout. Various exposures are given in both time and stops values, a couple of buttons re-calculates the other scale. Wet side: - monitoring of the various films and papers processes. Manual agitation is managed, sequence can be freely user definable. - dilutions calculation using various modes. - common photographic units conversion. - developer time adjustment according to temperature change. - chemical formulas database. What's next ? Basically, adding other RGB sensor based functions like: exposure meter(s), color analyzer, histogram, reflection densitometer, ...
