...continuing my saga of the off-color FG-7... After 3 rounds of exchanges, and the BKA folks promising me it was fresh stuff, I finally spoke to Bob Schrader, owner of TechChem, which makes it. He checked the lot number and told me it had just been mfg'd in mid-January. And asked me some questions about my film processing practices. I did a test roll, all was well, so I just did a couple of film runs this morning. I still have no idea why this stuff is suddenly much darker than it has been for the 10 yrs I've been using it. And Bob didn't offer any clues or opinion either, but clearly it is OK to use it as is. All this sturm-n-drang set me back a month in my production, but I'm catching up!
