I have a De Vere 504 with a color head. I use an RH Designs f-stop timer with it. RE Designs will supply a special end that'll plug right into the back of the transtab unit. This way, you're not turning off power to the transformer and fan. I've heard, but can't verify, that the transtabs don't like to be turned on and off repeatedly.
