Well, no more detailed news here. AGFA Photo was spun off the AGFA=20 conglomerate in November of last year, a management buy-out for 175,5=20 Million Euros (about 140 Million US dollars). Apparently they had a massive caving in of film sales in the first quarter= =20 of this year and this continued throughout April and May. Sales dropped by= =20 over 18%...down to about 363 Million Euros (in 2004). We at the AGFA Photo Club noticed because a lot of materialy were quietly=20 being removed from the list, basically the Brovira Speed RC papers in fixed= =20 gradation as well as fixed gradation baryt papers were gone. They only=20 wanted to support multi-contrast (in RC anf FB). Don=B4t know what will happen to Rodinal and the paper developers. Incidentally I think this might also hit other film manufacturers because=20 AGFA makes the 35mm-film CARTRIDGES for a lot of other film companies (also= =20 Fuji, Kodak etc). Me? I am going to buy a huge freezer and fill it with as much APX 100 as I= =20 can possibly fit. And another freezer for the paer I think...
