cd drive failure part 2

Well,
After a bit more experimenting, I got it to read a disc once by
holding the machine upside down.
It came up with the title of the book but no more.
Same on mains and battery.
I remember thinking a few months ago that the drive was noisy but
that seemed to sort itself out.
Looks like I need to spend some money this time.
So, where do I send it for repairs, rnib? It came from them.
