Okay, there are obviously two factors which need to be considered when
talking about whether the PTR1 or the PTR2 can be used with an SD card. The
first is physical accessibility, i.e., can you physically insert the card
into the unit; the second, for want of a better term, I'll call electronic
accessibility, i.e., does the unit have the right driver or the software to
accept the card. The first problem is readily addressed via the use of a
physical adaptor; indeed, you can't use a CF card with the PTR1 without such
an adaptor since the slot on the PTR1 is designed for a microdrive.

Given what Anthony Campbell has written, I take it that: (1) the PTR2 can
electronically accept an SD card, and (2) that there is an adaptor to
convert the physical appearance / configuration of an SD card to a CF card
since the PTR2 is designed to accept a CF card as its external media.

So, the remaining questions are: (1) whether the PTR1 is electronically
restricted to the CF card format, and (2), is there an adaptor into which
you can insert an SD card which will then fit into the PTR1's microdrive
(PCMCIA) slot?
