Plextalk is probably the only one of the 3 systems you mentioned which can
make high quality recordings with reasonable control over a manual
recording volume.

I, too, have a Plextalk Pocket, and could not live without it. It has good
quality playback, and recording. The menu structure is intuitive, and the
player is very easy to use. I take it with me everywhere i go.
