PTX1 - Speaking Punctuation

Hi Everyone
Does anyone know if there is a way to stop the PTX1 speaking punctuation?
I know a workaround is to edit the .txt file before copying it to the PTX1, but
that seems a bit drastic.
The Plextalk Pocket does not read punctuation.
