Steve, Yes, this is the case. One other thing worth mentioning is that you can only set Level 1 headings - no facility to set Level 2, Level 3 etc is provided. Having said that, I think that the unit is fabulous and, as a rival to the Victor Reader Stream, it is pretty competitive.
