Here is the response i got from plextor:

PTR1 and PTR2 can recognize and record over 2GB memory card.

Only limitation is one audio file size limited under 2GB.
PTR1 and PTR2 create audio file once record key has pressed, and close this
audio file once stop key has pressed.
2GB allows you to record three hours for 44.1kHz stereo PCM, and 30 hours
for 128kbps MP3 recording.
