I saw some discussion about sending position data via Twitter and wondered if that sort of mashup could also be used to autogenerate a Web link for Google maps with lon/lat already plotted? That way users could transmit a posit with some selection of the data being sent to Twitter or email. Recipients on Twitter would see the message with a shortened URL that would open a Google map with the location noted. Recipients of email would get the same link. Seems like an awfully nice feature unless it duplicates some existing functionality? 73, -- Jeff, Ke9v
