[pskmail] Re: Server Project

Rein,
to avoid any QRM I connected soundcard to soundcard. Client is a notebook running on battery with no connection to the outside except audio to server. To eliminate distortion from ground problems.
Of course I experiented with audio level. Only found, that this is not critical. 

Can I get hints from any protocol or higher protocol level?

Which timings and how to experiment with?

Could it be a timing problem? Or a problem with audio levels in fldigi? Or too

Hi,

months ago I started a pskmail server project. Gave up because even very
low power local connections ended up in MFSK32 mode and had no time for
the project.

Started these days again. Connected soundcards of server and client to
ensure undistorted signals.

Client to client communication: no problem
Beacons: no problem
Getting Infos like "APRS stations nearby" alway end up in MFSK32. This
does even happen in idle connected state.

Has anybody of the experienced server operators an idea where to look at?
