Helllo to the group, I have been working with PSKMAIL for about a year now and it is exciting to see how much it has developed! Perhaps Rein and Per remember my earlier efforts to get the audio working on IBM Thinkpads (600E)? Anyway, the new version of Puppy boots right up and works great in several laptops and desktop PC's I tried. I have sent and recieved mail through WB5CON (his signal is quite loud in Michigan through most of the daylight hours) and connected with KB2SDR. I have not been able to get EMAIL through KB2SDR although WB5CON shows mail available. Not sure why. I still have alot to learn- I have a question- Would it be possible to adapt PSKMAIL so that it could function with a Dialup Internet connection connecting as needed? I have connected to the internet and browsed succesfully but cannot have a computer on the phone line all the time.We live in a rural area and alternatives to dialup are not readily available. I am ready to set up a server as I have the radios and PC's to setup a server but I can't let PSKMAIL tie up the phone connection full time. I envision a system where PSKMAIL dials and connects only when needed and then disconnects or connects periodically and collects and sends any pending EMAILS. I don't know if this is possible but perhaps there are others willing to set up servers if this option was available. Something to consider... 73 Bob WD8QLY
