Hi, I believe we have found your problem then:
I believe User-U starts in the middle of the passband (1500 Hz), setting dig shiftRein, how did you set the DIG-parameters in the menu? My settings are: DIG mode: User-U DIG displ: 0 Hz (b'cse I have dial 10.147) <- not shure if its ok! DIG shift: 0 Hz -- " -- -- " -- DIG gain: 50
to 0 means that you are listening at 10148.5 ! An easier way is to set PSK31-U and leave the offset, PSK31-U is centered at 1000 Hz. Working settings for my, brand new, FT-897D are: Dial fq: 10.147.01 Mode: Dig Menu #38: PSK31-U Dig shift: 0 73 de Per, sm0rwo
I can hear both European servers for most of the day (I have S7-8 QRM from network cables (thousands of network cables). We have a heavy PLC-loaded powerline network here locally :-(I don't know if PA0R-1 (dial 3594.250, USB) is actually beaconing, and the distance is a bit much for NVIS....No!= via PSKmail at the Chaos Communication Camp nr Berlin =Have a good trip home!
