Per,
Thank you! After adding $smtphelo = "gmail.com" and "smtpauthlevel = 2, I
had instant success! The Droid had received the email before I
had finished disconnecting the client.
I now feel comfortable having the server on the air. I am a truck driver by
trade and not at all familiar with programming, I thought that I was doing
something stupid. Thank you and John for sticking with me.
