I love reading everyone’s response.  I love the words intentional, prayers, boldness and how they all come back to God!  Excellent choice Rhonda for taking us into the New Year.  I think we should revisit our goals in three months and see where we are at!

Hi all  Still here  Trying to get into a routine for the New Year   I used to always have a "word" going into the New Year but haven't done it in a very long time  But this year  I have one  and I feel it is God given  Intentionality   My daughter not knowing I had chosen that word gave me a mug for Christmas that says Make It Happen  So I do appreciate prayer that I can approach all areas of life with intentionality and focus this year and achieve the goals that I feel God has led me to choose this year  LEAH  I am stealing that line to put on my motivation board lol    Thank You Rhonda  I have the 6th down lol

I am right with you sister!

Prayer is on my list this year. Prayer and boldness - and thank heaven for a God who never gives up on me!
I read this today - "Prayer is that whole process that reminds us who God is, and who we are".

Hello Sweet Orchids,
Today begins a new year for us...actually yesterday, but the first day of our new devotions.  I really appreciate all of you who have participated in sharing with us your devotions......and that you still are.  I love each of you dearly....how is that possible, since most of us have never met?  It the the blessed connection that is given us by being join-heirs with Jesus.....making us all sisters!
Today, my mind goes to years past and the many New Year resolutions that I have made.....and NOT kept!  Always first....lose weight...be healthier... then followed by being kinder, more helpful, more consecrated in my Bible reading and prayer life...less gossiping...and the list goes on ...and on....and on!  Needless to say, most of there were soon left by the wayside.
This year, I decided to make NO resolutions!  I am what I am....fat or thin...kind or unkind...helpful or not...gossiping (shut my mouth, Lord).  I decided that I would fully concentrate on making myself a worthy vessel for the Lord....He is used to using 'cracked' and 'broken' vessels for His kingdom.  I think that if I concentrate on these things in my life, everything else that matters will fall into place...everything.  The good thing is if I fail or fall off the proverbial wagon, He will help me up and get right back in that wagon.
All I need this year is a bigger dose of Jesus!
Happy New Year!
Love, Rhonda
