This came in from Jim’s cousin, Kathy, while we were out of cell service . I
just copied and pasted what she sent so you have the full story
Linda , Can you have your prayer group add Sadie Griffin to their list. She
was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia when she was two. She went
through 2 and 1/2 years of aggressive chemo treatments. This summer she was
released. I received this note from here grandmother, a very good friend of
mine, a little while ago. She is asking for prayers from anyone willing to
pray. If you and Karen feel inclined to add her to your prayers it would be
greatly appreciated.
Hello Kathy, I'm asking for prayers for Sadie. Sunday she went to church and
all was normal, came home and said she was hot. Took temperature and was 103.8
they gave her Motrin and hour later still 103. They were talking to her and
she would stare and wouldn't speak then she went into seizure. 911 rescue came
and took her to closest hospital to them, Southampton County. She had many
seizures and once meds calmed her they put her on ventilator and she went to
CHKD. She's still there and they are monitoring via EEG her brain activity.
She's sedated now but they trying to bring her off meds to see if she'll
breathe on her own. So at this time we don't know her brain state with length
and amount of seizures. They were febrile as after chemo she doesn't regulate
her temperature well. Sorry took so long but wanted to explain. We are praying
for the Lord to continue his grace of healing
