Can't we do a search and replace through all the source files for
"7eacute;" to fix these stray entities once and for all...?

There is a misprint in book 12 section 200 (online version). It says
'7eacute;lite' instead of élite or possibly elite, in the third text part.
I have not checked the downloadable versions.
