The following was sent from the Project Aon contact form From: Mike Bright challenge@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: 11:54:14 on Saturday, April 10, 2010 Subject: Micro Volunteering Survey - Results ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi A few weeks back, you were invited to participate in a survey about the micro volunteering arena. The survey is now finished and the results are available for download here. http://www.helpfromhome.org/mv-survey.pdf Although the response was extremely small you will see a few potentially interesting trends: - the quantity of repeat volunteering that goes on in the micro volunteering world seemed to be high - very high percentage of initiatives wanting to be included on UK Volunteer Centre databases, regardless of their geographic location around the world. - high percentage of initiatives not having or not knowing they had any policies in place which UK Volunteer Centres look for when considering to include a volunteer opportunity on it's database You are included on Help From Home's website for free. Help From Home promotes awareness of micro volunteering initiatives like yours in an effort to increase volunteering in general. It is a free community service and no income is derived from this service or it's website. We hope your initiative will benefit from this service.
