The original Flight From the Dark notes that Kai are the children of nobles and
the like. Presumably they at some point go and make their own little nobles.
Otherwise the "Kai gene" would have disappeared generations ago.
Also, in the newer book, Autumn Snow: The Pit of Darkness, Autumn Snow finds
one of the sailors on a ship she's on to be somewhat attractive. She also
doesn't appear to feel any self-recrimination about those feelings as one would
expect if she'd taken a vow of chastity or somesuch.

Subject: Kai Lord Vows
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello Project Aon.
Having read all the Lone Wolf Books I couldn't help wondering a little bit more
about the Kai's stance on sexuality and romance.
Do Kai Lord's take vows like past day monastery monks and people from the
Night's Watch? Are they 'allowed' to have kids and a family? My heart goes out
to Lone Wolf and the other heroes sometimes, because he still seems to be
single and he keeps saving the world. Can a Kai Lord have sexual relations with
someone and still remain a Kai Lord?
Have a happy year end. For Sommerlund and the Kai!
Greetings!
I seems like I've read something about this in some of the new Lone Wolf
materials that have been published recently, but I can't quite recall. If one
of the other Project Aon volunteers knows more, I'm sure they'll chime in.
For Sommerlund and the Kai!
