I don't want to get into the havoc of the HAVOC issues, but given your singular vs. plural tally for "colony", I vote for making all the uses singular there, even though some of them violate our rules. EXCEPT that in 03toz, sect. 102, "the colony were" is subjunctive so should be left as-is, and in 01hh, sect. 120, the context is "four members of the colony have" so it should be left as-is.

And regardless of whatever grammatical rules we decide, whenever a verb applied to "the colony" or "HAVOC" appears in dialog, it should be singular, because no American would use the plural in casual speech.

Note that we also have:

01hh
36: "the colony sets"
50: "the colony react"
68: "the colony watches", "the colony sets", "the colony crosses"
100: "the colony disembarks"
185: "most of the colony greets"
280: "the colony react"
324: "the colony screams"

02smr
1: "the colony loads"
250: "the colony agrees"
312: "the colony fails"

03toz
1: "the colony uses"

04cc
1: "the colony agrees", "the colony appoints"
29: "most of the colony still distrust" (compare 01hh 185)
114: "the colony agrees"
151: "the colony agrees"
155: "the colony arrives"
231: "the colony agrees"
252: "the colony refuses"
300: "the colony arrives"
305: "the colony sure are" (dialog; definitely fix)

So again, the author seems to overwhelmingly prefer singular verbs when describing the colony.

And finally, a couple of other errata:

01hh
(??) 92: several of the colony follow -> several members of the colony follow (for clarity)

03toz
(er) 150: eight -> seven (Cal was born on Thanksgiving, which is in November, so he wouldn't've celebrated his 8th birthday by May)

(er) 252: roadsters -> roadster's

OK, this is the last one of these, y'all.

Thank you for all the input, help, and support so far; just this last one to go now. It's a bit of a thorny, contentious issue, though, though I didn't realise it at the start, so tread softly because you tread upon the fans' dreams. (I know there are still two issues outstanding from the previous list, but now seems a good time to post these for discussion...)

The Omega Zone

(er) Dateline to Destruction: HAVOC attempt -> HAVOC attempts

(er) 155: The colony have decided -> The colony has decided

For reference:

colony was: 01hh: Cal's Story, 318; 02smr: tssf; 03toz: tssf; 04cc: tssf [x3]
colony were: 01hh: --; 02smr: --; 03toz: 102; 04cc: --

colony is: 01hh: 1, 93, 100, 178, 327; 02smr: 252; 03toz: --; 04cc: 204, 293, 305
colony are: 01hh: 39, 231; 02smr: 168; 03toz: 350; 04cc: --

colony has: 01hh: 1, 185, 188, 216; 02smr: --; 03toz: 119, 230; 04cc: --
colony have: 01hh: 120; 02smr: --; 03toz: 42; 04cc: 155

Are there some of these that should also be changed (e.g. instances in 01hh which was never audited for sing. vs. pl. issues)? I think I have all possibilities listed here, but I've learned to never be 100% sure about any aspect of Project Aon...damn +2 Mentora bonus...
