I will try that and see how it goes, thanks. I mainly use Firefox; can I do this ftp thing in that instead of IE?

Have a great day,
Alex

you can copy directories with the ftp capabilities of internet
explorer, why
not do this?

except for the fashion you write the URL, ftp instead of usual
www. its like
copying items on your hard drive, select hit control c to copy
and control v
to paste it in a location you want it in, you can even create new
folders
and make an "old site pages" one for the person who wants a copy.

If filezilla can't do it, get yourself a Linux box and run rsync
-av url
where url is the top level url of the website. The wget utility
is
supposed to be able to do this in the background and make a copy
for you
starting in a directory of your choice. Good idea to make an
empty
directory to pull everything into and the directory structure on
the web
page will be duplicated.

I have a website made by someone else several years ago that I am
to
update. Someone wants a copy of the old one, though. How do I
do this
in Filezilla, if anyone knows? I tried downloading the folders,
but when
I hit Applications on a folder, the "download"
option is not available. I am unable to ftp into this server
with PSFTP
or FTP in Windows, or I would just do it from there.
Any thoughts? Mainly, is this a Filezilla problem or something on
the
server?

Have a great day,
Alex
