Did you put an alert box in the MasterPage's Load Event to make sure it is
getting fired?
Also, post up the code snipet for the Label control and the Load event and

I do have runat surver. I used the vs2005 ide to set it up so I have
everything that vs2005 adds, including runat server.

I am attempting to use an application variable on a master page. I
am having some difficulty however.
I am creating a label on the master page and trying to fill it from
the master_load part of the master page. I have previously set up a
variable and am attempting to put it on the label. This seems to be a
problem however. No matter what I do, I cannot get anything to show up in
that label. I have even tried to hardcode something in there but with
little effect. Something has to be wrong either with the program or my
vision. Any advice would be appreciated!
