nice try -- I did originally try connecting to my hub, but it didn't work 
and so I moved it to the 2.0 port on the other side.  It doesn't work in any 
port I have tried it in.

do you tried to disconnect the hub, to let all 4 usb ports free and then to
plug the wireless stick?
May be you have usb 1.1 and the stick need usb 2.0?
