When I called the American Printing House about a job announcement that was posted on the Blind Programming list they were shocked that there even was a Blind Programming list let alone that their job posting had found its way to the list in 1 day of it being posted. After sending them my resume they interviewed me on the phone and hired me not long after that. I will be working on the Braille plus and the book port and some other things that I figure I would have to kill you all if you knew about them but the point is to say thanks to this as a resource. I know I some times help people from this list but its always good when the list helps back. I had posted here a while back that I was looking for a way to get back to the states and this list came through for me. Kentucky is the perfect fit for me and the job is exactly what I want to be doing not only that but they don't mind dogs, ferrets or the real danger my lovely Red head Canadian wife. I will be leaving BC in another week and should be at the job before the 15th of September. Hope to see you all around the conferences in the future.
