Hello all,

Is there any way that any of you know of that I can run Jaws 9 or 10
on a Windows 2008 64 bit server? I know it's not supported and it
certainly makes that clear on the FS website and during the
installation of Jaws however it is possible to get a 32 bit command
prompt up and it's possible to get other 32 bit applications running
quite happily on a 64 bit environment so why not jaws?

Is there any other screen reader that will give me this access?

I'm sorry for the off topic question. Perhaps someone could direct me
to a mailing list that would specifically focus on screen reader users
who need to use server environments?
I've certainly a lot of questions in this area. example:
1. when using a rack of servers with only 1 console, how do most
people determine what Server the terminal is currently focused on. All
ell poweredge servers do not come with sound cards.
2. Has anyone been able to use the Windows Server Update Service web
administration interface? What about the MMC snap in? Has anyone had
any luck with that?
3. Has anyone been able to configure Office scan via it's web
interface? Itseems to be full of clicable objects that do nothing
when I press enter on them. Pluss, it's method of displaying
computers is a java applet so I cant access it.
4. Has anyone found a way of accessing the front panel of a
powervault tape media library? The web based interface shows the text
in this panel as an un labeled graphic. Dell have no plans to update
the firmware therefore it's unlikely that the web interface will
improve. It's a 132T drive.
5. Finally. at the moment because believe me, I could go on for
quite a while, Has anyone found an accessible alternative to VNC
where by a screen reader can shaddow another users windows session?

I'm sorry. I know this is off topic for this list but I've found
absolutely no resource to get these questions answered and I've spent
five months in this job battling against one problem after another as
well as trying to learn about a huge technical infrastructure.

Thanks

Darragh
