Hi,
did you make the cd bootable, and is your CD in your boot path before the hard drive. Just a thought. This is in the bios so it doesn't talk so you'll have to get help.

Subject: Linux and ubuntu

Hi Folks,

I'm pursuing an interest in Linux and have downloaded a .iso file from
ubuntu hardy, and have made a CD from it. Windows does not recognize that
there is anything on the CD, so I am not sure that making the CD was successful.

Can anyone suggest how I can check the CD, and start up the demo of Linux
that it is supposed to contain? Would this be the "liveCD" that has already been mentioned?

Thanks for all ideas previously received, especially from Daniel Dalton, and still to come.

Ian
