JAWS not reading listbox items and text in edit fields

Hello,
Sorry for being off topic, but I need help and I don't know who to
ask. I have two notebooks, one a HP and the other an Asus EEE PC. They
have both a intel mobile video adapter. JAWS is acting by a strange
way. It isn't capable of reading list view items, or names of tabs in
multi page dialogs, or text in edit fields. If I press ins + 5 I hear
black on black.
Do you know what is the problem and how can I fix it?
