Hi Folks,

As some of you know, we are prepping to release the first version of our
tool, Sappy 0.5, on March 10th. Our tool is a set of accessibility fixes and
enhancements for the NetBeans IDE, which, depending on platform, could
significantly help those that have had trouble with this IDE in the past.
While our first release is a non-feature complete alpha, we have made
significant progress and are almost ready to have folks try it out and give
us feedback on what would help them the most.

In order to prepare for the release, we have completed and put up a new
website for the Sodbeans tool. Sappy will be available under the download
link. It is located here:

http://sodbeans.sourceforge.net/

And, to help those that need help or are interested in contributing to our
projects, or tracking what we're working on and our progress, we now have
community driven documentation available on sourceforge.net, available here:

http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/sodbeans/wiki

Currently, Sappy is windows and Mac Compatible. Our tool should work well
without a screen reader using Windows (XP, vista, or 7, 32 or 64 bit) Text
to speech, with JAWS (tested on 10 and 11), and recently on Mac OS X,
although there are some compatibility issues with voice over. We are working
to add support for other screen readers, but will do so after this first
release.

Sincerely,

Stefik
