doing a subject build a gui, and was doing a exercise.
not asking for you to do it, but created a console application in visual basic, and now.
wrote the code.
well, when i compiled it, and got no errors and using jaws 14, the first full version 14.0.918, and thought that was strange.
the output it would not read any text at all.
just said blank.
so, thought i would create a console vb application, and try hello world. to display on screen.
same problem.
just says blank, blank.
and there are no jaws scripts for vs 2010 and above, like 2012.
i know Justin Daubenmire was working on a project for a vs add-in for 2010 to work with jaws, but looks like he started the project, or has abandoned it, and have not heard from him in over 2 years.
so if any one knows where he is, can you let me know.
any ideas.
how to get jaws 14 to read out the text in a console window.
looked at all the settings and options, in the console window.
real weird.
should have tested that out and reported that, but now doing a text based hangman game, for my build a gui project, as my lecturer had a chess game originally to do, but no good, as all the square were picture boxes, and jaws cannot read text inside graphics.
so he came up with this project.
now.
any ideas, i have contacted freedom scientific com.
about this issue.
now.
never had to use the console application until now.
windows applications reads fine with jaws.
Marvin.
