Hi Florian,
I'd think you would get a lot of mileage working with the text files that
people use as input to Lilypond, since some of the concepts are similar to
Braille music.

Hi,

What is currently happening is the following. Here in the Netherlands,
people want to switch over to an open-source program to convert print
music into braille music. By people, in this case, I mean the library
organisations and such that govern that kind of thing.
Their eye has fallen on Lillypond and they are now looking at somehow
implementing this functionality into that program. I personally think
that isn't a very smart move, but I was asked to hunt for
implementations of this functionality that are already available so
they have something to start from. Their argument was that this kind
of process has been popping up in various packages over the years,
dating back to the mid 80s. I'm starting to think they all wrote their
own implementation though. So I don't need accessible solutions, just
code to convert printed score data (i'm guessing something like
OMR-acquired data or perhaps some sort of XML) into the corresponding
one-dimentional braille music format.
