Hi Pranav,
I'm afraid you cannot use Express editions to create Office add-ins. I
think you need at least the Professional or Development editions to get the
Visual Studio Tools for Office features.

Ah yes, I am willing to write 3 similar routines but was hoping to be able
to have a single program. I have the express adition of visual studio 2008.
Can I write an office add-in in that?
