Hi,

If you mean in Windows Explorer, arrowing through the folder tree doesn't
select the folder, at least for me. This is a contradiction to earlier
Explorers.
Ihave to press Enter on the folder after choosing it, then wait for the
folder to actually load its contents.

Subject: [program-l] Vista: File Dialog / Explorer

OK, I give in. I've tried to pursevere with the new Vista file dialog and
file explorer interface but it just doesn't work for me. But for tabbing 10
million times to try and find the right dropdown and then trying to work out
which folder it's refering to, it's unusable via the keyboard as far as I
can tell. Same goes for standard file open/save dialogs.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make these features more usable
via the keyboard? Or is there a way to use the old style dialogs and file
explorer? I already use the windows classic theme rather than the Vista Aero
style but it makes no difference to these interfaces.

Also, I have similar problems using the new copy dialog. Under my large font
settings, there doesn't seem to be a way to say yes to all when replacing
files in a bulk copy operation. It's so frustrating.

Any suggestions greatfully received.

Thanks
Ian
