Ok, a guy on the scripts mailing list has just mentioned that the global jaws video intercept DLL gets replaced when you install jaws 11 beta, and it seems this might be why it's affecting the interaction of older versions of jaws when trying to use them in VS.Net etc. since they will also now be using this updated DLL, so, yes, seems like it might really be necessary, for now anyway, to avoid trying out jaws 11 on an actual production/work machine. Seems the interpretation of objects/windows/frames getting focus is being returned differently to jaws 10, for example, after installing a test version of jaws 11, and this does make some sense with regard to what I noticed happening.
