Moderator here – George Bell.
After over 30 years in this business, and a major degree of personal
experience, I do tend to try and appreciate how some issues raised are causing
a work flow problem.
However, I do agree that some members do not appear to be doing enough internet
research before posting their questions here.
Google is just one pretty powerful research tool. If list members do not know
how to use such a productive research tool, what are they doing here?
Meantime, I shall do my best to keep a closer watch.

Talking about this, I indeed noticed more and more off topic threads in this
mailing list recently. My worry is that it will soon deteriorate to the extent
that most developers will leave it.
Has anyone seen admin/owner of this list? Does anyone know who this admin would
be? We need some moderation here before we are totally swamped by
non-programming questions like this.

My web.WhatsApp has suddenly logged out and my display is not working. However,
the laptop camera is working fine.
I'm unable to scan the QR code. Any thoughts on how I could do this?
