This is gonna sound obvious, but what about a Raspberry Pi? It’s small, cheap,
customizable and has only one board. Like you, I would love if some company
could do all the hardware stuff to turn a Pi into a complete custom rig, but
for now I’m cool hooking up a USB keyboard and stuff like that.
