A few months ago I read about this project, but I don't find it
useful, it's 20 years late. The accessibility and convenience that
most ides present solve the problems that we had in the past.
I did my two first university courses in TexPad, that was back in
2012. 2 semesters programming games with minimax, graphs, trees, and
their respective algorithms. I would have appreciated a better editor.
But it was because of my ignorance. Visual studio and eclipse already
offered good functionality by then.
Then came VS Code, xCode, and others, and things took a big leap.
Think of a specific editor for blind people is to think of exclusion.
If I get to work for a new company, I will probably have to adapt to
the tools they use.
And what about those awesome extensions that won't be available in an
editor that will never be as popular as others?
What will happen to the great integration with many languages that
other editors have?
I would have made an extension for an existing ide or editor instead.
VSCode would have been a good starting point.
I'm sorry for the great effort and good intention, but I don't think
it will become popular with users.
It could be useful perhaps for someone who is learning to program, but
why learn to use an editor if you are going to have to change later?
