Hi Kenneth Brodersen,
Thanks for trying out VS Code.
This sounds like this issue https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/105558
As a workaround you can set editor.accessibilityPageSize: 2 in your settings.
If this does not seem to be the case, then please create a new issue and feel
free to ping me @isidorn and we can continue the investigation there.
Thanks a lot!
Isidor

Subject: RE: [program-l] Issues with VS code and magnifier on Windows
We’ve run into a few one-off issues with magnifier, particularly in
applications that support multi-caret editing. I know that both VS and VS Code
support that.
If you’ve already filed the issue with VS Code, I’m sure @Isidor
Nikolic<mailto:Isidor.Nikolic@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> will be aware of it soon and I
know that on the VS side, a magnifier issue is a high impact issue. I don’t
know of a workaround at this time, but if I find anything out, I’ll be sure to
let you know.

You don't often get email from

Hi
I have primarily been working with the development of backend applications in
Visual Studio for a few years. In my new job I will have to do a bit of
frontend too (angular, svelte). My colleagues all use VS Code so I gave it a go.
I was a bit surprised to find that it works very poorly with the magnifier in
windows 11. It doesn't track the text-cursor position correctly when navigating
horizontally .
It is a very popular editor, so I can't be the first person to have this issue.
I will be creating a bug report but was hoping that someone in here might have
some sort of workaround?
Can anyone recommend a good alternative to VS code that works well with the
windows magnifier? I already tried rider and webstorm. These don't support
cursor tracking at all (already reported to jetbrains 2 months ago). The only
success I had so far is with eclipse and the Angular plugin... But Eclipse.
Seriously. That will be my last resort!
Any advice, comments or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
